Using excess loop delay to simplify LC-based SD modulators
نویسندگان
چکیده
The excess loop delay in continuous-time LC-based SD modulators, which usually has negative effect on the stability and the signal-tonoise ratio of the modulator, can be used to simplify the modulator architecture and reduce the number of needed feedback branches. The proposed technique is discussed and validated using a design example of a fourth-order bandpass continuous-time LC-based modulator.

متن کاملSimple architecture for subsampling LC-based SD modulators
A simple architecture for subsampling LC-based continuous-time SD modulators is introduced. The concept of utilising loop delay to simplify the modulator architecture is generalised to subsampling modulators. Moreover, it is shown that is possible to remove the delay-compensation branch usually used in traditional designs. Removing the delay-compensation branch results in significant simplifica...

متن کاملClock Jitter and Excess Loop Delay in Continuous-Time Delta-Sigma Modulators
Continuous-time ∆Σ modulators are able to operate at higher frequencies than their discrete-time counterparts. However, they suffer more severely from non-idealities such as clock jitter and excess loop delay. The effects of these two non-idealities are explained and a continuous-time to discrete-time conversion method is presented in order to aid in the analysis of these non-idealities. Two ci...
متن کاملControl of Flexible Link Robot using a Closed Loop Input-Shaping Approach
This paper is has addressed the Single Flexible Link Robot. The dynamical model is derived using Euler-Lagrange equation and then a proper controller is designed to suppress a vibration based-on Input-Shaping (IS) method. But, IS control method is an open loop strategy. Due to the weakness of open loop control systems, a closed loop IS control system is proposed. The achieved closed loop c...
